Yu Chunbo is a practicing lawyer and patent attorney specializing in intellectual property (IP) legal services. He holds professional qualifications as an Intellectual Property Specialist and engineer and is currently the Director of the IP Department at Beijing Xuanyan Law Firm.
Yu Chunbo has many years of experience in legal services, primarily focusing on litigation and non-litigation legal services related to IP, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and new plant varieties. He represents clients in litigation cases involving IP infringement (civil and administrative disputes) and non-litigation cases such as patent invalidation requests, patent FTO analysis, patent strategy development and discovery, and patent evaluation. He is particularly skilled in evidence retrieval and organization, finding breakthroughs in complex cases to resolve client issues. Since beginning his practice, he has provided IP legal services to dozens of well-known domestic and international companies.
Early in his career, Yu Chunbo worked in technical management within companies and later served as an examiner at the State Intellectual Property Office’s Patent Office, developing a unique understanding of IP. He has led the resolution of numerous high-profile IP disputes and provided professional IP legal services to a large number of innovative technology companies. His expertise in the IP field is widely recognized by his clients.
Work Experience
Prior to legal services, Yu Chunbo was employed by the State Intellectual Property Office as a patent examiner; he also worked at Changan Automobile Group as a department head and process manager for vehicle development projects; and at Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. as a process engineer.
Yu Chunbo is also actively involved in public service. Currently, he serves as the director of the intellectual property team at the Haidian District Private Enterprise Property Rights Protection Workstation in Beijing, and an intellectual property appraisal expert for the Capital Intellectual Property Service Association.
